VCare Clinics is pleased to announce the start of the COMMUNITY DIABETIC CONTROL & PREVENTION PROGRAM (CDCPP).

Education to better manage Diabetes and Pre Diabetes available for all patients.  Lifestyle modification, food, exercise, and medication adherence play a big role in managing Diabetes.

VCare Clinics is bringing Diabetes Education right into the heart of the community-Iglesia Divina in Channelview, Texas.  Diabetes is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States.  Most Type 2 Diabetes cases are preventable by lifestyle modifications that include diet (nutrition) and exercise.  Hispanics and other ethnicities are at a greater risk of developing this disease, but lifestyle plays a very critical factor in delaying or preventing Type 2 Diabetes.

VCare staff brings Diabetes education to community members to help remove barriers to care.  Diabetes screenings, education, awareness, and access to affordable care are critical in managing this chronic condition!
